Tea tree oil is yellow / greenish tinged essential oil extracted from the leaves of Melaleuca Alternifolia.

Australian natives used tea tree for antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, insecticidal, and immune stimulant properties. The essential oil steam distilled from its leaves and twigs to treat range of ailments like cold, sores, acne and even whooping cough. Combats skin infections, insect bites, and minor wounds and is a remedy for oral infections.
